Cosatto Yo Golightly goes sightseeing in London

Whilst I was enjoying all that BritMumslive had to offer Daddy2five & Nanna2six took my youngest two around London sightseeing, I wanted to test the Cosatto Yo Golightly out to the fullest so I gave them strict instruction to take our beautiful Golightly along too, they had to capture  her sightseeing adventures.

Rhian enjoyed travelling around London in style & was quite happy to sit comfortably for the 2 days sightseeing, she was kept nice and snug under the fleece lined cosytoes.
The Golightly was easy to get onto the train and did not need folding down which makes every parents life easier if the need to travel on public transport.

All exited about going to see the Crown Jewels

She flashed her bows to try and get the Queens guard to come see her but he stood strong!
The Beefeater's proudly posed for a picture
Icecream break at Big Ben, The Golightly coped brilliantly over a grassy terrain.
Tristan on the telephone letting me know that Daddy and Nanna was doing a superb job looking after them and taking them to see great things including the crown jewels.
They stopped off to see the Queen
They was very impressed by the Victoria memorial

The basket helped to carry around their souvenirs.
Rhian & the Golightly watching the London eye from afar.

The Golightly coped very well in London whether it was weaving in and out of all the people, squeezing into narrow spaces, boarding the train & boats & most importantly keeping my baby girl warm & comfortable on her own sightseeing adventure. The Golightly is great for city living so our next test will be country living.

Hello Kitty Pyjamas

Casa Chicos sent me a gorgeous pair of Hello Kitty pyjamas to review for them & I have to say they are just that, gorgeous!.
As with any item of clothing I buy I put the pyjamas through the washer & can honestly say they wash brilliantly thanks to the colourfast fabric none of the vibrant colours ran into the white.
Rhian is always on the move crawling around constantly and the knees on the pyjama pants have stayed strong and not worn at all. They are made from 100% cotton and come in 3 different sizes 6-12 months, 12-18 months & 18-24 months. We was sent them in size 12-18 months and are a good size for Rhian who is 12 months they are not baggy nor are they too small so she will get the full 6 months+ use out of them, the only thing I had to do was roll up the cuff of the sleeves but I do have to do this with most long sleeve tops for her. The pyjama top has a shoulder opening with 2 poppers that allow you to take it off easier.

The Hello Kitty pyjamas retail at £15.00, they are a little more expensive than some pyjamas but the quality can not be faulted at all. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends

I received these pyjamas for the purpose of the review, all wording and opinions are my own.

Bigjigs® Toys are attempting to break the Guinness World Record™ for the Longest Wooden Toy Train Track at The Historic Chatham Dockyard on the 26th July 2012.

Cewe photobooks

Being a mum means I am snap happy, everywhere we go the camera follows but what do we do with all those precious pictures?. If you're like me the majority of the time you will upload them to your computer & social networking sites!. What happens if your computer gets a virus do you have all those precious images backed up? I am not one to get them printed & spend hours carefully sticking them into albums so I get photobooks printed, I find it much easier & much more nicer. Cewe photobook are really easy to order all you need to do is download the program onto your PC orLaptop & start creating your photobook. You can choose the size from small to XXL, Portrait or landscape, glossy or matt, you can even choose special occasion photobooks which have really nice backgrounds for a wedding, baby or travel photobook.

Once you have chosen which design of photobook you would like you simply select all the pictures you want to use, then simply drag them into place on the page, you are able to change the layout & add or remove extra image boxes. You are able to add text boxes so you can write about the pictures on the each page.

I love that extra pages can be added to the book if needed meaning I don't have to eliminate some of my favourite images.

The quality of the photobook is excellent & the printing is great quality meaning your pictures look how they should do.

When you create your photobook the program comes with its own editing tools so don't worry if your favourite picture has red eye, needs cropping or you want that picture in black & white because the editing program has all these functions.

I highly recommend Cewe Photobooks the delivery is quick & comes well packed. The photobooks are perfect to keep all those precious images along with memories together, I personally use them for our holiday pictures & for my favourite images, but they are perfect to create for Christmas, birthdays & other special occasions.
I think they make great My 1st year albums or special birthdays because you can write about a special memory together with the picture.
Whatever you use Cewe Photobooks for you will not be disappointed.

I received a voucher to create & purchase the photobook for the purpose of this review. All opinions and wording are my own.

Mummy2five went to BritMumslive

wow my poetry skills are coming along nicely!

Britmumslive was my first blogging event so I didn't really know what to expect, I was one of the lucky bloggers who managed to find a sponsor & I am so grateful to Teething Bling UK for sponsoring me. I knew many veteran bloggers would be walking through the doors of the Brewery for the blogging event of the year, was I nervous? No! I have only been blogging 9 months so I am still growing as a blogger but I was there to learn & learn I did.

Over the 2 days I attended a few workshops that interested me & spoke to many bloggers & some great Brands. The fun kicked off at registration where I received my badge displaying my name & blog name, so where did I pin this badge to me? right on my boob area...I was not the only one which mean't most of us spent the event looking like we was staring at other bloggers boobs. After registration I grabbed a much needed coffee after being on the road for 6 hours, I hunted down a fellow blogger from Blogbybaby and pretty much stalked her for the whole of the event.

After the welcome Ruby Wax took to the stage to talk about how she beat the Tsunami of all depression and I found it a real eye opener. I then spent some time talking to the the fantastic sponsors for BritMumslive 2012, Panasonic managed to give me fridge/freezer & washer envy, Disney & Warner Brothers made me wish I was a kid again but then I figured when it comes to kids films I love to snuggle down with the kids and watch them too, the Lego goodie bag became my Friday nights entertainment which was made more fun by the tispy head from the free flowing wine from Radcliffe's that I downed sipped earlier at the BiBs Awards Party, The party was great and the ladies had some eye candy that came in the form of half naked men! The Brilliance in Blogging awards went to
Fresh Voice-Mammasaurus
Tasty-Maison Cupcakes
Change-Special Needs Jungle
Inspire-Mummy Whisperer
Lit-Hello it's Gemma
Video-The Alexander Residence
Go-Mum's Gone to
Snap-The Startup Wife
Dad-Mutterings of a Fool
Style-The Online Stylist
Laugh-Minestry of Mum
Outstanding-Goodbye Pert Breasts

So day 1 went extremely quickly and I survived the drive back to our hotel, Kudos to my chauffeur aka my husband.

Day 2 kicked off with Bloggercise with Lucy however I spent that session fighting the endless traffic that London has to offer, I did make it on time for the coffee (my first of the day) and yummy pastries which went down nicely along with the smoothie filled with spinach fromVitamix and the endless amounts of Welch's I kept going back for. I attended Beginning Blogging-SEO Tips and Legal Essentials and Bloggers Studio- How we use Pinterest, both were excellent workshops that I learn't quite alot from. I spent some time talking to other bloggers in the TK Maxx and HomeSense Style lounge & managed to get some extra goodies from Lego for my Ladies Midnight Walk competition. I decorated Cupcakes at the Lego stand which was messy fun and provided me with a small snack even though I ended up dropping one of the two that I made(I didn't eat the one I dropped).

I stopped by Piggy Bank Kids who are a charity founded by Sarah Brown and painted a pig money box for my daughter, Sarah was also a speaker at BritMums live and spoke about finding our own voice & making a difference.

I ended the day with more wine tasting (it would be rude to say no) and listening to the great blog posts by other bloggers in the Bloggers Keynotes some made me have to swallow that huge lump in my throat and others had me drying my eyes from laughter, I left the Brewery with more blogging knowledge, extra friends, more great blogs to read and not to mention the rather heavy goodie bags that I battled with (I needed larger shoulders or a suitcase). For anyone who wished they had gone I would advise you to go next year because you will not be disappointed.

Thank you to
John Crane Toys, Disney, Warner Brothers, Skylanders, Tesco baby & Toddler, Sainsburys, Radcliffes, Welch's, Vitamix, Visit Orlando, Lego Duplo, Johnson's Body Care and BritMums for all the goodies I either ate, sipped or returned home with, Danielle at Blogbybaby for keeping me company, you made me laugh so much.

Final Thank you to Teething Bling UK for sponsoring me to attend, I had a brilliant time.

See you next year!

Help Susanna Walk Appeal

A waiter who works at the Frankie & Benny’s restaurant in Widnes has a beautiful five-year-old daughter called Susanna who suffers from Cerebral Palsy. He and his wife are desperately trying to raise money to send Susanna to Missouri in the US for a life changing operation that will enable her to walk unaided. The operation has a 100% success rate. They have so far raised £15K but it’s been a struggle and there is a long way to go as they need £60,000 in total.
Frankie & Benny’s is determined to raise the money by the end of July 2012 and have promised that this beautiful little girl will walk properly like all of her friends. Frankie & Benny’s is embarking on a nationwide fundraising weekend on Saturday 30th June/Sunday 1st July in every single one of their restaurants where they will donate £3.95 from every child’s meal purchased as well as many other specific fundraising activities for each individual venue.
 How you can help
We wondered whether you, as an influential blogger, would be willing to post about the appeal on your blog - to send the message out to your followers so we can try and generate as much money as possible for the cause. A Just Giving page has been set up where people can donate as much or as little as they can http://www.justgiving.com/helpsusannawalk and we would be ever so grateful if you could post the link on your blog (feel free to donate if you wish – whether a penny or a pound, every amount is worthwhile)
What the money raised would do
The money raised will pay for Susanna and her family to travel to and from the States for the operation and the operation itself. It will provide accommodation for the family for a month following Susanna’s operation and further intensive physiotherapy.  It will also pay for further treatment and aftercare on her return to the UK and hopefully we will raise enough to also provide Susanna with some equipment to aid her speedy recovery. Susanna only has a short amount of time left whereby she qualifies for this operation, hence the need for immediate action.  By raising this money now, Susanna will hopefully have the operation in September and be recovering well by Christmas this year.  Just think how amazing it will be for us all to think we have played a part in ensuring it happens.

Cuddledry scoops five awards!

It’s been an exciting week for Cuddledry, creators of the original baby apron towel, as
they picked up a total of five awards for their towels – that’s almost more than you
can count on one hand!

Cuddledry’s baby apron towel, their flagship product, was the real star of the show,
achieving three gold awards in the hugely popular Loved By Parents Awards, as well
as a much sought after Mumsnet Best award. Mumsnetters are renowned for their
high standards, and the Mumsnet Best award is only given to products that receive a
rating of at least four out of five stars from a minimum of ten reviewers - definitely
an achievement worth celebrating.
One of the newest additions to the Cuddledry family of bath, beach and swim towels
the Cuddleswim bamboo baby swim towel – also scooped an award, receiving a
silver in the Loved By Parents ‘best baby towel’ category. It came second only to
Cuddledry’s apron towel, so no complaints there!
This is a fantastic start for such a new product, and is a reflection of just how popular
the swim towel is already proving to be with parents, with orders coming in thick and
fast for the swim towels since their launch.
“Parents love our towels for their silky softness and absorbency,” explains Helen
Wooldridge, one of Cuddledry’s creators and directors, “and customers are very
excited to see this same softness and superior quality in a towel designed especially
for swimming, with the help of swim professionals.”
Find out more at www.cuddledry.com

We love Cuddlydry & I totally agree that they deserve each and everyone of those awards,
their products are really soft, you have to feel it to believe how soft they are.

Diamond Jubilee

Yesterday we celebrated the Diamond jubilee, we had a small party at home I even baked cakes & biscuits. We dressed the kids up in red, white & blue and had a jolly good time.

My cupcakes didn't go to plan after not being able to find blue gel paste so I had to buy ready rolled icing, I made biscuits for the 1st time & they turned out good, my mother in law made the scones & we had strawberry jam & cream with them.

Rhian had just woke up on time for the party to begin, she proudly waved her flag along with Madison.

our mini buffet, we had cucumber sandwiches & we can't forget the strawberries & cream.

Thomas joined in with our celebrations, We had the Jubilee concert on the tv & he loved dancing around to the concert music.

Tristan was a little under the weather but still enjoyed the fun

Rhian spent most of the day waving her flag and trying new foods

We gave Rhian a strawberry to try & this was the result, I think the strawberries was a little on the tangy side for her. We laughed so much watching her, she kept picking it back up to try again but her face says it all really. I don't think she is a fan of strawberries, she will hopefully like the ones we pick from the strawberry fields each summer.

It is very rare I am in the pictures as I am the one behind the camera normally so I gave my camera to someone else for a change & as usual Rhian pulled a funny face.

Tristan played the national anthem(well it was sort of the national anthem) he also posed for a photo with the Jubilee cup that his school gave him.

We had a very good time & it made me feel very proud to be British the concert was excellent & those fireworks was spectacular.

1 year ago today

This time last year I was sat at home willing on labour, it was my due date with my daughter & I was desperate to meet her. The phone calls came daily "any news" erm no I would tell you if I had delivered her, at least my husband didn't say hurry up and go into labour I am bored of waiting like he did on our son, I decided to hide out at home because I would possible of been arrested if I heard 1 person say "are you still here" and the fact that walking made every part of me ache. Rhian had other ideas though and decided she didn't want to be a due date baby, she stayed in there for several more days which everyone who has gone overdue knows that those 7 days seem like weeks. Fast forward 1 year and I am sat again at home trying to organise a little tea party to celebrate her 1st birthday, I have just placed my order for all the decorations and plan to do birthday photo shoot(possibly not on her birthday though). I think I will just make her cake myself because I have not come across one that I like and now I am running out of time, I have seven days to get organised, those seven days last year went by ever so slowly but I know these seven days where I need them to go slow will go too quickly. My baby is 51 weeks old that is a whole 357 days that I have hugged, kissed and told her that I love her, my baby is almost a toddler and will soon be toddling around our house terrorising us. I can't wait to see what the next year brings and yes I will spend each day hugging, kissing and telling her that I love her.

God I wish I could slow time down

Children grow far to quickly
