Birthday Bonanza: John Crane


The Lovely John Crane are well know for their wooden toys but did you know they also have a soft toy range? The Trudi range has many lovely soft toys for your children, I just love the wildlife soft toys they are so cute, most of them are also suitable for children of any age making them a lovely gift for a small child. John Crane have give me A gorgeous Trudi soft Turtle to give away to one of you. The soft toy is 15cm tall & comes in his own gift box.

Mine started life as a hand puppet called Tinky but I kept it for far to long and it ended as a mass of shredded material that I still refused to give up until I was much too old to really need it. I hated it being washed and in the end it was too frail to be washed properly just sponged down a bit

  8. I have a teddy that my Nan & Granddad bought when I was a baby, he went everywhere with me and to this day he is still much loved albeit much balder

  10. I've still got the big Snoopy that I was given for Christmas when I was 4, and he still sits in my bedroom. Father Christmas bought my 2 daughters one each last Christmas as they love him too!

  19. My favourite soft toy as a child was a teddy bear I found outside a local shop. Being 4 at the time, I mis-read what was written on his t-shirt and called him Teddykins - and I still have him to this day, 24 years later :)

  20. My favourite soft toy was a pair of bears, one called Albert and the other Fred Ted. One had a red ribbon and the other crackly ears.

  24. My favourite soft toy when I was a little girl was a panda teddy bear who had an orange ribbon around her neck. I took her everywhere with me and in fact my mum still has her!

  33. I have a teddy which my father brought me back from America the year before he died. As a child i collected TY Beanies, and this is the Liberty bear which could only be bought in the states, so this teddy is the most precious thing i own, both as a child and now as an adult.

  53. my favorite is a wind up teddy that my neighbour gave me when i was born, it was his and he had no children to pass it to so he passed it to me, im going to pass it to my little man, its sooo old now and flat after all the cuddles, but it will be lovely to tell him about it x

  64. My Teddy Ruxpin. Not sure if it totally qualifies as a soft toy and it was electrical but it read me stories and was amazing. I adored it comletely :D

  73. I had lots of cuddly toys as a kid, but my favorite was a bear called flip flop that belonged to my Nan, he was never allowed home, and he stayed with my nan till she passed away. I still have him all floppy and worn, but he is a happy bear!

    My teddy, I've still got him now and I'm 36! He's hardly got any fur now, one leg shorter than the other and his arms been sewn back on, but well loved!

  82. It has to be my Oscar toy ( out of Sesame Street) I wouldnt go anywhere during the day without him but at bedtime my mum had to take him out of my room because I wouldnt sleep. I used to say his eyes followed me wherever I went!
