ReplyDeleteMine started life as a hand puppet called Tinky but I kept it for far to long and it ended as a mass of shredded material that I still refused to give up until I was much too old to really need it. I hated it being washed and in the end it was too frail to be washed properly just sponged down a bit

ReplyDeleteI've still got the big Snoopy that I was given for Christmas when I was 4, and he still sits in my bedroom. Father Christmas bought my 2 daughters one each last Christmas as they love him too!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite soft toy as a child was a teddy bear I found outside a local shop. Being 4 at the time, I mis-read what was written on his t-shirt and called him Teddykins - and I still have him to this day, 24 years later :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite soft toy was a pair of bears, one called Albert and the other Fred Ted. One had a red ribbon and the other crackly ears.

ReplyDeleteI have a teddy which my father brought me back from America the year before he died. As a child i collected TY Beanies, and this is the Liberty bear which could only be bought in the states, so this teddy is the most precious thing i own, both as a child and now as an adult.

my favorite is a wind up teddy that my neighbour gave me when i was born, it was his and he had no children to pass it to so he passed it to me, im going to pass it to my little man, its sooo old now and flat after all the cuddles, but it will be lovely to tell him about it x

ReplyDeleteI had lots of cuddly toys as a kid, but my favorite was a bear called flip flop that belonged to my Nan, he was never allowed home, and he stayed with my nan till she passed away. I still have him all floppy and worn, but he is a happy bear!
